#4: Research Genre Production 

Outcome description
Students will be able to produce writing that demonstrates their ability to navigate choices and constraints in a variety of public and/or academic research genres.

My final research paper is the strongest example of how I learned to write across different academic genres. I had to balance formal research with casual, relatable language to make a technical topic like noninvasive health tech understandable and interesting to a wider audience. I mixed personal reflection, outside sources, rhetorical argument, and even media references (like a TED Talk) to fit both academic expectations and the real-world relevance of the topic. This paper shows how I learned to adjust tone, structure, and source use depending on the purpose and audience—exactly what this outcome is about.
