One way I brought in a multimodal perspective was by referencing a TED Talk called “How to Avoid Surveillance on Your Cellphone” by Christopher Soghoian. This video helped me think beyond just written research and actually visualize how technology impacts our privacy—especially in the context of wearable health devices that track sensitive data. Including this TED Talk in my final paper gave the topic more dimension, since it added a real-world voice and tone to the discussion about tech overreach. It also showed how video media can shape our understanding of health and privacy in ways that plain text can’t.
